Hi friends! Spring is in full swing and I am learning to be bold about expressing my moments of joy.
Launching One little Note was a sweet moment for me this past month on many levels and I’m unapologetic about expressing myself and embracing this new season. I feel a great sense of gratitude to everyone who continues to unconditionally support me. I am humbled by the loving people in my life who show me daily how I am never alone in my efforts. Even a small passion project like this takes a great deal of creative thinking and planning with good friends/amazingly patient listeners. Truly, a project that in some shape was brewing in my mind and in my heart for over ten years.

I have been asked why? My friends and family who know my schedule and life responsibilities wonder why would I would embark on a project like this at this point. I am an oncology nurse by profession, not a photographer, social media expert, or art director, etc. This project is very different than the work I do every day with my patients. I agree, but I am a firm believer that as a woman, I am not just one thing. Because I’m a nurse does not mean I cannot also be a skilled photographer, a beautiful writer or a motivational force in someone’s life. I can build community. I can do many things.
In fact, I believe that passion projects can create synergy and balance within our lives. With OLN, I feel like I’m headed to an unknown, but exciting destination…. and I’m the overzealous tourist soaking up every second of the journey. I feel expansive and connected to a positive and creative ever-growing group of friends who are sharing their personal journeys as well.
When I work towards a goal, create something new, connect with my community, become a change agent in some small way and bring a positive project to fruition- I do all of these things inspired at the core by my children.
I wake up every day facing numerous challenges, same as the next person. But with full certainty, I can say there are little moments of pure joy throughout the day just waiting to be noticed. And this page is one more that I’m adding to my list!
I’m interested in learning more about how you are pursuing your passions. Let me know in a comment or a DM on my IG @onelittlenote. You can also contact me here.
